Our mission is to be the bridge between borrowers and the right funding partners, making the process transparent, efficient, and personal.
Cole’s career began as a human intelligence collector and Arabic linguist before commissioning in the U.S. Army. He continued serving his country as a Special Agent deploying to countries in crisis. After concluding his government service, Cole founded a SaaS company and continues to advise and invest in early-stage companies. His passion for connecting capital with opportunity led him to start Umbrella Place with his “younger” brother Zach.
Zach’s career began in the cockpit as a Navy pilot, where he developed the discipline and precision that would follow him through everything after. He transitioned into software engineering, earning a Master’s degree and building a career around solving complex problems. His ability to analyze systems and cut through complexity pulled him toward real estate capital brokerage—investors move fast and need financing that keeps up. Zach connects them with the right capital for their deals, whether that’s a fix and flip, a rental acquisition, new construction, or a growing portfolio. He lives on the Florida Gulf Coast with his wife and four kids, and started Umbrella Place alongside his “older” brother Cole.
